Light up Ainslie

Ainslie School's and ANU's School of Art's main buildings were both designed in the 1930's by Cuthbert Whitely, a senior architect in the Department of the Interior.

6:30-8:30pm, Friday 8 September | Ainslie School | Donaldson St. Braddon

Kit Devine, Jean Philippe Demarais and students from ANU's School of Art and Design, have created a series of short multimedia presentations using Ainslie School students' artworks, photographs and videos as part of the school's 90th birthday celebrations.

The students came from two different courses: ARTV2613 - Animation and Video: Video Production in 2016; and from ARTV2609 - Animation and Video: Video Camera and Storyboarding in 2017.

The beautiful collaborative works have been turned into large-scale projections for the front wall of the iconic Art Deco school building.

Come along to this special Enlighten-style evening at Ainslie School and bring a picnic dinner or purchase yummy chicken skewers and other delicious treats*.

There will also be Sly Fox coffee, tea and hot chocolate available, along with glow-in-the-dark items for the kids and the fantastic Ainslie School 90th Birthday Merchandise.

*We'd love some volunteers to bake some delicious goodies to sell at the cake stall. We are after slices, muffins, cupcakes mini quiches and biscuits. Baked goods can be dropped into the school canteen on Friday 8 September (during or after school) or bring them on the night, between 6:30-8pm (the event finishes at 8.30pm). Please let Robyn ( know if you can bake. Thanks!
